Kliment Ivanov Architects is an architectural practice, based in Sofia, Bulgaria. It specializes in residential buildings, public and administrative buildings, sports facilities, interiors, and product design. It provides services for private clients and companies, public organizations, and state institutions.

Our designs have won numerous architectural awards and competitions, and have been published in various printed and online media.

At Kliment Ivanov Architects we offer an array of design services, which comprise the whole process of research, development, and construction of the project. We perform location scouting, feasibility studies, preliminary design, design development, construction documentation, construction and on-site supervision. We collaborate with renowned consultants in the design and construction field, and various experts in other areas.

We work through a close dialogue with each individual client and present a unique solution to every assignment. We believe the good architectural design is a combined result from the mutual work of the client and the designer. We develop, supplement, and realize the ideas of the client and we are happy when he is content.

Kliment Ivanov

Kliment Ivanov is an architect. He works as an architectural designer, researcher and an academic lecturer.

 

He is a member of the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria and a Qualified Architect with Full Design Capacity.

 

In 2005 he founded the architectural practice Kliment Ivanov Architects.

 

Kliment Ivanov studied architecture at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG) in Sofia, Bulgaria. He specialized at the Department of Public Buildings under the joined supervision of the professors Georgi Berberov and Tanko Serafimov. In 1999 he was awarded the highest prize of the university – Student of the Year of the Faculty of Architecture of UACEG. In 2000 he received his Master’s Degree in Architecture with honours.

 

In 2006 he was invited as a Guest Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture of the New Bulgarian University (NBU) in Sofia, Bulgaria. There he created the Computer Aided Architectural Design (CAAD) courses and introduced new Visualization and Graphic Design courses.

 

He has also been a Guest Assistant Professor at the architecture programmes of the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy (UACEG) and the European Polytechnical University (EPU) in Bulgaria.

 

In 2014 Kliment Ivanov received his PhD in Architecture at the New Bulgarian University (NBU). The theme of the research is: Architectural Issues in the Adaptive Reuse of Buildings.

 

In 2010 he became a full-time Assistant Professor the Department of Architecture of the New Bulgarian University (NBU). Now he is a Chief Assistant Professor and a Programme Consultant. He has lectures on Residential Buildings and on Business Parks, and leads Design Studios on the same subjects.
